Description

Why the winemaker recommends Cantine Nicosia Falde Insolia Viognier Carricante Terre Siciliane IGT 2023

Like in a glass the golden rays of sunshine is all I can expect from Sicily. A palate reminiscent of the sun-kissed Sicilian hills. Viognier, Insolia and Carricante, three super whites in a single cépage cannot go wrong. Excellent white wine with many different flavors that transfer into drinking. A space wine!!

Characteristics of Falde di Nicosia wine

A lemon gold color has given way to apricots, lemons, medium acidity, minerality, green apples, floral, peaches, light body, flinty, with a medium finish. The Viognier share gave a different flavor to the wine, but the Insolia was the main decisive component.

Nicosia winery

Sicily in five generations, 1898 Francesco Nicosia, the great-grandfather of Etna wine, already known and appreciated in Europe for its "volcanic" and mineral strength. In the 20th century, Carmelo Nicosia expanded and renovated the vineyards and created a modern winery, at the foot of one of the extinct craters that dot Etna. The Monte Gorna estate with its typical lava terraces where the native vines of the volcano grow. He therefore leads the family company to be the protagonist of the rebirth of Sicilian wine

Cantine Nicosia promotes the territory, starting from the prized native vines and the international varieties that are best suited to Sicily. A path of excellence in the Sicilian wine tradition.
