Why the winemaker recommends Tenuta Asinara Herculis Isola dei Nuraghi IGT
I didn't know this company, I wanted to try a wine blind and I was very surprised. A very rare blend, a truly successful experiment. The best reds of northern Sardinia, leaving Capichera on a planet of its own, the latest creations of Giacomo Tachis, truly very interesting wines.
Characteristics of Herculis di Asinara
Herculis a stunning wine, with great balance...
I am happy to express myself again on this excellent Sardinian blend, characterized by a strong fruity imprint and an extremely varied and intense expressiveness. A full-bodied wine, properly structured and well-aged in barrel, pervaded by a light spicy trait that softens the drink. Notes of wood, smoke, tobacco, black cherry, myrtle and vanilla alternate on the nose. On the palate it is vigorous with hints of oak, mocha, blackberries, cocoa, laurel, pepper and smoky puffs in the aftertaste. Excellent persistence.
Recommended pairings for this Isola dei Nuraghi IGT red wine Sardegna
It goes very well with the island's lamb.
Uncork and let it oxygenate for an hour before serving the Cayenne red wine at a temperature of 18 and 20 °C in a Ballon glass.
