Sommelier:

The Product mix of grapes, from the intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, vino very consistent with alcohol content of 16,00 %, clear. On the nose great fragrance a mix of scents of ripe cherry, morello cherry and plums, slightly dried, herbs and spices. On the palate, powerful, enveloping richness and complexity. Fruit, spices and higher alcohol alternate with flavors of fruit jam, then tobacco, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Closing persistent and persuasive sweetness.

Food pairings:

La Mattonara Amarone della Valpolicella DOP Classico Riserva 2009 Zymè baked Arista of pork with polenta and radicchio, lamb Sauce, Tortellini with meat sauce, Rabbit cacciatore, Goose in a saucepan. Accompanies, well matured cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano. Drunk alone at the end of the meal is superb. Excellent wine for meditation and in combination with chocolate, cigar, pipe.
