Why the winemaker recommends Falesco Est! East!! East!!! of Montefiascone Classico DOP Poggio dei Gelsi 2023
East! East!! East!!! of Montefiascone, a village overlooking the picturesque Lake Bolsena in the Tuscia Viterbese area. The legend is famous Around the year 1101 a German bishop directed to Rome, on behalf of the emperor Henry V, gave order to one of his servants to precede him in his itinerary in order to find the inns that offered a good wine and especially the wine better the servant should have written the word est on the door of the in when ever the wine had been particularly good; in Montefiascone the servant found the wine so good that he wrote est est est !!! . Poggio dei gelsi is a classic for Falesco.
Characteristics of the white wine Est! East!! East!!! Falesco
Straw yellow, clear and consistent. On the nose it is intense and quite complex, fruity and floral, fruit with ripe yellow pulp and citrus, mineral with its marine hints and vegetal note. In the mouth it is perhaps less fascinating than on the nose, probably due to the slightly acidic taste, dry with so much freshness and right sapidity, soft and fairly balanced, intense and not very persistent. Excellent value for money. Great, enjoyable wine, invites to drink.
