The winemaker recommends Falanghina Le Fossette Alberto Longo 2023
Oh yes, Falanghina is not only from Campania... Here we are in Puglia for a white wine with widespread floral aromas and notes. It is on the palate that it expresses itself at its best, enveloping in flavors, it manages to give good sensations. Give it time, once oxygenated it will be able to give you great satisfaction.
Characteristics of Falanghina wine:
White wine Falanghina Le Fossette by Alberto Longo San Severo DOC. at Masseria Celentano a calcareous clay soil. Aging in steel for three months. The color is a straw-colored paper yellow with golden reflections, crystalline and luminous. The nose is quite intense, not very complex in fact we find the predominant aromas of exotic fruit, mango, lychee and banana, together with a bouquet of yellow flowers; elegant fine quality. Palate more savory right away, with a supporting acidic shoulder, fairly soft with an adequate alcohol content of 13% Vol.
Recommended pairings with Falanghina wine:
Alberto Longo's Falanghina has a precise taste and is ideal with fish dishes with a hint of lemon, e.g. Shrimp tagliolini and lemon rapè.
Uncork the Puglia white wine "Le Fossette" Falanghina San Severo DOC. Serve at a temperature of 13 - 15°C, in a Tulipano glass.
Cellar Alberto Longo:
The efficiency in producing and the elegance in welcoming make Alberto L. a goal, that is to produce quality wines. The cellar is surrounded by vineyards with vines of Bombino Bianco, Falanghina, Montepulciano and Nero di Troia from the Cavalli farm, the only varietal for the production of the famous Cacc 'e Mmitte Lucera DOC wine. A mixed structure, historic rooms from the 19th century and a modern part. The feasibility studies have determined the appropriate use of the premises where the technological systems are located that allow the management of each stage of production up to refinement. The total area cultivated with vineyards is approximately sixty-four hectares, divided into parcels between the Fattoria Cavalli and Masseria Celentano farms. In the latter, mixed varieties are planted in addition to Primitivo and Negramaro… Cantina Longo
