Why the winemaker recommends Tenuta il Canovino Quarto Vecchio Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2018
First selection grapes harvested in the Canova vineyard in the Valpolicella area facing south. Bland of red Corvina and Corvinone Veronese grapes 80%; Rondinella 15%; Croatina 5%. A bright, rich ruby and ethereal spicy aroma, rich in flavor that will make you lose your mind. A true human masterpiece.
Characteristics of Tenuta il Canovino Amarone wine
Traditional style, aged in Slavonian oak and 12 months in the bottle. Elegant and complex wine; on the nose I receive iron, tobacco, earthy, red cherry, almond and peppercorns. Sweet entry with a high mineral content. The vibrant acid elevates freshness on the palate. The ending is very long.

Il Canovino winery
10 hectares in Canova, on the hills of Mizzole, a small corner of paradise is born: vineyards kissed by the sun, designed by the elegant geometries of the vines like a garden overlooking Verona. Each plant is carefully looked after, the grapes are carefully selected, and dedication continues during every phase, from drying to pressing, from fermentation to refinement in underground cellars, in Slavonian oak barrels. This is how the Quarto Vecchio line comes to life
