Why the winemaker recommends Dario Di Vaira Rapè Viognier Toscana IGT
Viognier in Tuscany is becoming more and more popular and for me, who loves this grape variety, this is excellent news. Here too, Dario Di Varia does not disappoint, an excellent wine with a great quality/price ratio. Typical Viognier from the Tuscan coast, in this case we are in Bolgheri. Alcoholic fermentation in steel and Hungarian oak barriques (80-20) and partly aged (40%) in the same for 4 months, the rest in steel. Very good wine!
Characteristics of the Rapè Viognier wine by Dario Di Vaira
Excellent product from the Bolgheri area. Fresh and at the same time rich Viognier, full of sun and south. By now on the Tuscan coast there are a whole series of "pure" Viogniers, this one is particularly good. 13 degrees of fruity aromas with musky notes. On the nose it develops rather marked fruity aromas of apricot and mango with musky hints. In the mouth, savoury and moderately acidic with good persistence. Very pleasant and inviting to drink.
Recommended pairings for the Toscana white wine
The wine pairs perfectly with good sushi (sashimi, nigiri, rice); also as an aperitif but excellent with seafood dishes.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 10 - 12°C in a tulip glass
