Why I recommend Carlin de Paolo Barbera d’Asti Superiore Ad Libitum 2021 DOCG
Barbera d’Asti Superiore is a great grape variety and, if treated correctly, produces excellent wines. At Carlin de Paolo the focus is on low yields, and the wine is aged for over a year in small wooden barrels to give it more structure and maturity. Pleasant and delicious, easy to drink, great aromas, balanced. It is a very feminine wine. It has a delicate touch and is a gentle and elegant wine that will take care of you gently.
Characteristics of Barbera d’Asti Ad Libitum Carlin de Paolo wine
Really beautiful Barbera d'Asti, where 15-18 months in barrel have made good red wine. Scent of bread, candied fruit, violets and splashes of ink. Medium finesse more acidic than the more benevolent variety, fresh and dark fruit and silky tannins are followed by a slightly more vegetal and savory finish
Recommended pairings for Barbera d’Asti Superiore red wine Piedmont DOCG
Barbera d’Asti Superiore Ad Libitum 2021 Carlin de Paolo with braised meat with grilled polenta; Risotto with mushrooms, with truffle. Meat chops; Fresh pasta and tomato ragù, cheeses with intense flavors: Toma, Sardinian pecorino with celery and black olives.
Uncork Barbera d’Asti Superiore Ad Libitum 2024 Carlin de Paolo and decant before serving at a temperature of 18 - 20 ° C, in a large Ballon glass.
