Why the winemaker recommends Mauro Molino Legattere Barbera d'Alba DOC 2020
Barbera of the highest level, nowhere near 90% of standard barberas. A wonderful introduction to what alternative Piedmont can offer. Surely most other producers would make Nebbiolo here.
Characteristics of Mauro Molino Barbera Legattere wine
Another super Barbera, well made with powerful and expressive depth with a nice tannin to bite into but at the same time cuddly. Nice acidity, elegant and fresh and long finish. Berries, violets, spices and vegetal notes.
Recommended pairings with Barbera d'Alba DOC red wine Piemonte
Suitable for large dishes such as pasta and legumes; vegetable stews in winter; excellent accompaniment with focaccia from Bari; vegetable side dishes in EVO oil.
Uncork the Barbera d'Alba Legattere red wine and decant before serving at a temperature of 17 - 18°C in a large Ballon glass.
Mauro Molino winery
It began producing three of its most important Crus in the municipality of La Morra: Barolo Conca, Barolo Gancia and Barolo Gallinotto. Labels that have allowed the name to be carried around the world.
