Why the oenologist recommends Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco DOCG Faset 2018
Barbaresco represents the Cru area, in the 1800s Faset was owned by the Cocito Counts of Neive, today the district is divided between various winemakers. The vineyards form a sort of vegetable amphitheater in a steep south-facing basin that looks towards the Tanaro river. A parcel of 3 hectares is part of the Cabanet farmhouse from which Barbaresco Faset comes, soils rich in nutrients make the area an excellence, and makes the Barbaresco silky with elegant tannins.
