Why the winemaker recommends Barbaresco Faset

Barbaresco is the cru zone. In the 19th century, Faset was owned by the Cocito Counts of Neive; today, the district is divided among several winemakers. The vineyards form a sort of vegetal amphitheater, a steep, south-facing valley overlooking the Tanaro River. A 3-hectare parcel is part of the Cabanet farm, where Faset Barbaresco comes from. Nutrient-rich soils make the area exceptional, yielding a silky Barbaresco with elegant tannins.

Characteristics of Nebbiolo Wine

Faset Barbaresco DOCG 2018, the aristocratic Chiarlo Cru Nebbiolo red wine, is the highest expression of its wines in the Barbaresco appellation. Moderate ruby ​​color. Fragrant on the nose, silky palate inspired by elegance, finesse, and subtlety, with a long, discreet finish.

Recommended pairings for Nebbiolo wine

Perfect with red meats, lamb, vegetable stews, meat rolls (preferably spicy), Abruzzo skewers, and Neapolitan casatiello.

Uncork and decant one hour before serving at 16-18°C in a large balloon glass.
