Why the winemaker recommends Avignonesi Grifi Toscana IGT 2020
What a pain!! Grifi Toscana IGT a splendid blend with sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon. I would say that this company has a great ability to obtain very successful blends of Sangiovese with other grapes. This wine already offers a silky tannic texture, with a noble structure, a wine of depth. The beautiful fruit and oak make it on the verge of becoming a world-class wine. The dark red fruits make this wine worth seeking out.
Characteristics of Grifi di Avignonesi wine
Clear and consistent, with an intense ruby red color. Complex, intense and fine nose. Notes of blackcurrant, raspberries and morello cherries. A breath of violet and balsamic hints in the finish accompanied by sweet spicy notes and a touch of liquorice. In the mouth it is dry, warm, soft and enveloping with a fine and elegant tannin, quite savory with a mineral touch. Overall a full-bodied, balanced, fine, persistent, harmonious and easy to drink wine.
Recommended pairings for this Tuscan red wine
Griffi di Avignonesi prefers to combine dishes according to food and wine tasting experiences such as fresh pasta and mixed meat sauces: lamb, veal, grilled meat, roast beef, hard cheeses.
Uncork Avignonesi Rosso Toscana 2020 and decant one hour before serving at a temperature between 16 - 18°C in a large Ballon glass.
