Why I recommend Avignonesi Red Montepulciano DOC 2022

Sangiovese di Lamole goes very well with serious meat. After a first meeting that was "tougher" than expected, I really appreciated it. A start with this excellent Montepulciano from the Avignonesi company, despite the vintage, they were able to release a wine with all its characteristics in place, a beautiful ripe cherry red, easy on the palate, soft and persistent

Characteristics of Avignonesi Red Montepulciano wine

Red wine of Montepulciano DOC from Avignonesi, a light ruby colour, dry, good acidity. Fair structure, even if the body is a little light: it could improve with a little refinement in the bottle. Fair persistence, good refinement.

Recommended pairings for this Tuscany red wine

Red Montepulciano DOC with tagliolini with duck ragù, tortelli stuffed with pumpkin, green beans in fresh tomato sauce and potatoes, ciambotto (mixture) of eggs and onions, bruschetta and chillies, radishes in dip, grilled red and white meats .
