Of course the tannins, the woody and herbaceous component are well present, but the blend, although evolving, allows the qualities of a superior nectar to shine through. A true super Tuscans that is not yet very well known.

Characteristics of Podere Forte Petruccino Orcia wine

Petruccino Orcia a very high level of quality for a red wine with a more affordable price than its two cellar brothers. Ready, with a complex and elegant nose that opens with wood and smoke, tobacco, then turns to blackcurrant, pepper and spiciness. In the mouth the tannin is present and pleasant, clean, a great Sangiovese. Not invasive but complex red fruit, more wood and light smokiness with still an edge, a little herbaceous, star anise and thyme. Pleasant and non-trivial ending.

Recommended pairings for this Orcia DOC red wine Toscana

Sangiovese Petruccino harmonises well with linguine with black truffle; troccoli with stuffed cuttlefish sauce.

Uncork and serve Petruccino at a temperature of 18 - 20°C in a Ballon glass.
