Why the winemaker recommends Tenuta Asinara Indolente Vermentino di Sardegna DOC
The Vermentino that I appreciated most of this tasting, balanced with a beautiful intensity both on the nose and on the palate.
A Vermentino from Sardinia, the Mediterranean scrub that satisfies. Very clear, elegantly evokes the pulp of peach and apple then enriches itself with mineral, perfect, but very precise and perhaps I would have liked more character.
Characteristics of Vermentino di Asinara
North of Sorso (SS) Tenuta Asinara, roots its Vermentino vineyards near the coast. Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The aromas are intense with a bouquet of white flowers, crunchy fruit of apple and pineapple, then the recognizable notes of vegetal herbs and Mediterranean scrub intertwine with the mineral ones of iodine and flint; they build the complex and elegant smell. The freshness in the mouth is ousted after a few seconds
Recommended pairings for this Vermentino white wine Sardinia DOC
A light and tasty summer wine, it pairs perfectly with pasta tortelloni with ricotta and truffle; an accompaniment to a perfect Sardinian fregola with seafood.
Uncork and serve the Vermentino at a temperature of 10 and 12 °C in a Tulipano glass.
