Why the winemaker recommends Lagrein
Lagrein, a red wine variety of Trentino Alto Adige according to Anderson Burton is already mentioned in the seventeenth century in documents in the Benedictine monastery of Muri near Bolzano. Although it often gives excessive yields, it produces a very dark Lagrein, a velvety red with a beautiful, fragrant and robust character. In the Masetto vineyard in San Michele all'Adice, on dolomitic-calcareous soil, whose pedoclimatic characteristics offer an extraction of minerals
Sensory Profile
At sight, the Lagrein Trentino DOC 2023 Endrizz wine has a deep, brilliant and consistent ruby red colour. The fragrance is delicate, notes of ripe fruit with fruity hints of small red fruits. A full and harmonious taste with soft tannins and good persistence in the finish.
Recommended Pairings and Serving Guidelines
Lagrein recommended with red meats, game, tasty roasts and hard cheeses.
Uncork nd decant, serve at 16 - 18° C in Grand Ballon glass.
