The Morellino di Scansano of Tenuta Serpaia contains the Sangiovese Piccolo variety, the main clone in the quality red wines of Tuscany. Wine of good tannic and acidic level, with notes ranging from leather to prunes to prunes.
Sensory Profile
Produced from Sangiovese grapes, Morellino di Scanzano has a ruby red color and excellent grade 13.00% vol. Fruity bouquet of prunes and ripe fruit. Enriched in structure and in the mouth it is full with a well balanced tannin; Warm flavor, a wine that combines strength with elegance in a balance that fascinates.
Recommended Pairings and Serving Guidelines
We recommend Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2024 Serpaia di Endrizzi it with the classic Fiorentina, roast lamb, Radicchio Rosso trevigiano DOP seared with polenta. Mixed meat sauces. Orecchiette with turnip greens, legumes, bruschetta with EVO oil, typical cheeses from all regions.
Uncork and decant serve at 16 - 18° C in Ballon glass.
