Why I suggest Langhe Rossese Bianco Rosserto 2021

100% white Rossese, an autochthonous vine saved from extinction by Giovanni Manzone in an old family vineyard. Fermented and aged in oak for 12 months on its lees. Beautiful, tropical and exotic nose, a perfume in itself, on the palate it is refreshing and citrus with an apparent weight from its time on its lees.

Sommelier:

Delicious Italian white, made from white Rossese grapes, once almost extinct. A true culinary wine; Delicious nose with hints of tobacco, almonds, apricot and some vegetable tones. Med + acidity, dry and dry mouth feeling. Mild spicy, excellent balance with a very intriguing aromatic profile, in particular the light bitter touch in combination with the salinity that I find attractive (similar to walnuts). Nice persistent finish.

Suggested pairings:

Langhe Rossese Bianco Rosserto 2021 Manzone with florentine beef tagliata and Treviso red radicchio and grilled polenta; Tiella potatoes and mushrooms. Horse meat chops; Bari focaccia, Sardinian pecorino cheese, celery and fried olives.
