Why I suggest Mofete Etna Bianco DOC
Excellent result of a great grape variety winning on large territory. Wine from the winery of Palmento Costanzo, the winery was born on a former palm grove, so the soil is full of minerals. White from 80 year old vines deserves an extra point. This white however is very well done, spontaneous and in a certain way very different from the Sicilian whites.
The Sommelier: Local variety of Carricante and Catarratto. Pale straw color Nose of lemon peel, grapefruit with hints of orange and grass. High acidity, green apple, lemon peel and absence of oak. Slightly bitter and medium finish with a salty touch. Excellent with seafood but also good on its own.
Recommended pairings: Wine for a meal with fish and delicate meats; with first courses of vegetables Brussels sprouts, asparagus, zucchini flowers, risotto with artichokes, fresh broad beans bread and pecorino.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 12-14 ° C, in Renano glass.
Winery: ... extreme and unique wines, recognizable thousands of km from the origin, represented as the Cru Contrada Santo Spirito, Di Sei and Mofete. ...
