Why I recommend Palás Gavi DOCG 2025
Michele Chiarlo has a clear vision: great wines are born from meticulous and constant attention to every production detail. Nature's rhythms are followed with precision, without any rush. Thanks to daily presence among the rows and extensive experience, the winery performs continuous analyses and tastings directly in the field, rigorously selecting the best bunches before the manual harvest.
Wine Characteristics
Gavi DOCG Palas di Chiarlo, pure Cortese, straw yellow color, clear white wine piedmont, fruity, with a good balance of acidity and savory flavors. Well-defined aromas of lime, peach, and chamomile. This is a softer and more rounded Gavi. The nose still has the classic Gavi tones of grass, citrus, and minerals, but it's as if a flower were nearby. The palate is also clean with acidity, but somewhat softened and a touch more body. Still very clean and crisp on the finish; "A Gavi that thinks it's an Arneis."
Recommended pairings
Palás Gavi pairs well with shellfish, fish dishes, appetizers and snacks from both land and sea, and piadina romagnola with cured meats and cheeses.
Uncork a Gavi and serve at 10-12°C in a Renano glass.
Cantina Chiarlo Michele is among the historic founders of the Consorzio Grandi Vini, founders of the Accademia del Barolo, and has been selected to be part of the Grandi Marchi Institute of Italian Quality Wine.
