The winemaker recommends Casa di Baal Rosso di Baal
Grab a glass of Baal's Red and you're drinking the fertile volcanic earth of Campania. So much land on the palate a reminder of how tasty it is to live in Italy.
Characteristics of the Aglianico wine:
House of Baal Aglianico Salerno IGT rather austere, astringent and acid like a young Barolo. Black fruit on the palate. Aglianico lGT Colli di Salerno produced from low-yield vineyards and aged for 12 m. in oak barrels. 2010 coincides with the first organic certification. To the eye and to the nose it does not show the signs of aging, on the contrary the olfactory spectrum is complex, rich in nuances. In the mouth the acidity is still very present and blends with the austere structure in an elegant and silky sip. Another characterizing trait is the finely represented tannic texture, a sign of a maturation that has come to fruition.
Recommended pairings with Aglianico wine:
Excellent Aglianico Salerno IGT Casa di Baal with dry stew of turnip tops; veal round with potatoes.
