Why I suggest San Luigi Nizza DOCG 2016
A demanding Piedmontese Barbera. Served with sour dough pizza as tradition dictates on Friday evenings. Decant at least an hour and this would probably benefit from a few more years in the cellar.
The Sommelier: The nose opens quite intricately with moist winy soil and a fragrant and structured complexity of anise. The palate meets powerful young cherries and acid resistance. The medium tannin + limits its drinkability but perhaps prolongs its life.
Serving suggestions: It goes well with the meat: veal with lemon, grilled sirloin and baked potato side dish;
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 18 ° C in a large Ballon glass.
Wine cellar: ... Barbera and Grignolino vineyards nestled on the hills of Monferrato, the heart of UNESCO, the Langhe-Roero production area. An area that is the center of great sustainable quality. ...
