Tuvaoes Vermentino di Sardegna DOC Cherchi
Tuvaoes is an excellent Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, produced by the renowned Cantina Cherchi. For over 30 years, this label has been an absolute reference for lovers of Vermentino and great Sardinian winemaking. A white wine with an elegant and decisive profile, capable of best representing the hilly terroir of Usini, in the province of Sassari.
Made with pure Vermentino grapes, selected in the vineyards surrounding the town and grown at about 200 meters above sea level, it sinks its roots in soils with a calcareous and clayey structure, ideal for developing minerality, freshness and aromatic complexity.
Vinification and Aging
The harvest takes place in the second ten days of September. The carefully selected bunches are destemmed, crushed and pressed delicately. The must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature (17-18°C) with selected yeasts and continues its refinement for about 7 months in steel tanks, where it develops structure, balance and depth of flavor.
Tasting Notes
It has an intense and bright straw yellow color, with greenish reflections. The nose expresses a rich and layered bouquet: wild flowers, aromatic herbs, tomato leaves and ripe white fruit are perceived. The sip is full, soft and energetic, supported by a lively acidity that gives freshness and a marked minerality. The finish is long, aromatic and floral.
