Barolo Ginestra DOCG truly a great drink, elegant, fine, full of aromas and flavors, a wine fit for a king. It is everything you would expect from a Nebbiolo di Barolo. Dark fruit aromas, high levels of acidity and tannins that are just starting to ripen. A wine to keep safe in the cellar and continue to drink in 10 years.
Characteristics of Nebbiolo wine:
Nebbiolo di Barolo Ginestra DOCG The flagship of the Paolo Conterno family. Aged in 350 Lt French oak barrels for 3.5 years. On the nose sweet cherries with tobacco and spices of sadelwood and graphite and dried orange peel. A good hint of savory flavor atop sweet southern tea. A very biting concentrated and powerful tannin that leads to an excellent finish on the high acid. Still a little aggressive, but he's coming of age.
