Why I suggest Brunello di Montalcino 2015
Coming from the production area of Bolgheri San Polo and Montluc, a favorable climate with optimal temperatures for the cultivation of vines. The temperature variations at the time of ripening of the grapes determine good increases in the sugar content, favoring the aromatic development. The harvest carried out in ideal atmospheric conditions allows to complete the ripening. The vintage is announced as one of the best vintages, always able to stand out for its great balance and elegance.
The Sommelier: The vinification of 100% Sangiovese grapes has produced a ruby red wine with garnet reflections and excellent alcohol content, 14.00% vol. Predominant fragrance of fresh fruit and light notes of vanilla and coffee. In the mouth it is expressed with a pleasant drink, light and well defined tannins, good persistence.
Suggested pairings: Excellent wine on grilled and roasted meats. Perfect with the classic Florentine, the Parma ham and culatello di Zibello platter, medium-aged cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Sardo, smoked buffalo scamorza also with fish dishes such as red mullet in stewed tomatoes and cod in Livorno style.
Uncork and decant an hour before, serve at 16 - 18 ° C. in large Ballon chalice.
