Characteristics of the Barbera d'Asti wine:
Solid Barbera Fontanavì, Barbera d'Asti Superiore La Carlina, a beautiful interpretation. Delicious medium-bodied cherry red fruit; bright fruit compote, unfiltered and unrefined flavor good mouthfeel, elegant but tannic. Delicious fun and playful barbera.
Recommended pairings with Barbera d'Asti wine:
Barbera d'Asti Superiore Fontanavì perfect with eggplant parmigiana. Baked lamb and potatoes. Pumpkin cod and baked potatoes. Rice, potatoes and mussels alla Bari. Penne and cardoncelli mushrooms even if spicy. Roman pecorino cheese and fresh broad beans.

La Carlina is a family-run winery founded in 2014 by the brothers Camilla and Francesco Scavino. Young recruits aiming at eco-sustainable organic viticulture, certified since 2015, which respects the environment and natural cycles. We do not use chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides but sulphur, copper and organic manure.
