Characteristics of Grosjean Fumin wine
Fumin, a medium viscous native Aosta Valley wine, creates not very narrow arches from which cheerful drops fall. Intense and well-complex on the nose, with notes of red fruits, morello cherries, berries, nuances of spices and black pepper, it has a hint of wood, the result of the months of aging in barrique. Pleasantly dry and slightly tart on the palate. Light but perceptible tannin. Excellent balance and integration. Fruity finish.
Recommended pairings for this Aosta Valley DOC red wine
This Fumin accompanies a dish of beef and baked potatoes and turmeric; mature cheeses or meats with an important flavour. Polenta tanning and venison; game; with Aosta Valley crepes; boiled cotechino with seared meat and green sauce.
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18°C in a large glass.
