Why the winemaker recommends Grosjean Pinot Nero Valle d'Aosta DOC 2023
I admit that I have to change my mind a little about this Aosta Valley Pinot Noir, which, after a further year in the bottle and a further oxygenation time, gains in harmony and elegance. However, it remains a fairly simple Pinot, focused heavily on fresh fruit.
Characteristics of Grosjean Pinot Noir wine
Atypical Pinot Noir for its taste sensations. A beautiful Pinot noir without great pretensions, but well made. Very fragrant nose with small fruits (currant, cherry) and also a spicy part. Medium body, drinkable but not at all banal, good acidity, not very tannic and not too persistent.
Recommended pairings for this Pinot Noir red wine Valle d'Aosta
Pinot Noir goes well with aperitifs and not too mature cheeses; with grilled white meat; braised.
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18°C in a large glass.
