Why the winemaker recommends F.lli Giacosa Grignolino d'Asti DOC 2023
Like any other Grignolino it is a very particular light wine, one of a kind, love it or hate it! But if you like Grignolino wines this bottle, although expensive, is certainly a great choice.
Characteristics of the Grignolino wine from the Giacosa Brothers
It presents itself to the eye with the ruby red of great transparency typical of this vine. The aromatic side of Grignolino d'Asti is intense and fragrant, based on a predominantly floral matrix to which are added splashes of cherry and a timid hint of citrus. Grignolino plays its trump card in the mouth, i.e. a gentle structure, well-integrated and non-rushing tannins, great freshness deriving from the acid-savory combination, all forming a truly remarkable balance.
Recommended pairings for this Piemonte d'Asti DOC red wine
Grignolino d'Asti DOC by Fratelli Giacosa is recommended with appetizers, non-spicy first courses, mushrooms, not overly seasoned white meats.
Uncork and serve Grignolino d'Asti DOC 2022 at a temperature of 14 - 16°C in a Ballon glass.
Fratelli Giacosa winery
From 1991 to 2003 we looked at the increase in owned vineyards in the areas of origin of the Langhe wines. In localities: Bussia and San Pietro in Monforte d'Alba, those of the Vigna Mandorlo in Castiglione Falletto up to the vineyards in Neive. A current management of 50 hectares of vineyard that follows a protocol of good agricultural practice
