Why I suggest La Serra Barolo DOCG 2016
It took years of maturation for Roberto Voerzio's Barolo DOCG "La Serra", which is mandatory in order to be at its best and to express itself at a qualitative level. A Barolo aged in large barrels, left to refine and almost forgotten, has acquired the maximum of its concentration and today it conquers the palate of fans… I recommend drinking at least once in a lifetime!
The Sommelier: The ruby red of Barolo DOCG "La Serra" 2016 Roberto Voerzio has marked orange reflections. High concentration is also evident in the consistency, the alcohol content reaches 14.50% vol. Combined fruit aromas are mixed with floral nuances, atypical hints of licorice and vanilla. In the mouth it is robust, full-bodied, warm; in one sip, refining evolutions come to mind. Closes with a finish with remarkable persistence.
Suggested pairings: Wine for dishes with important preparations based on lamb, with pecorino cheese and Apulian scaldatelli taralli. Handmade orecchiette with broccoli, meat and potatoes stew, eggplant parmigiana, dried tomato rolls. Dried fruit.
Uncork and leave to air before serving at a temperature of 16-18 ° C. in large Ballon chalice.
