Why the winemaker recommends Lagrein
A sincere Lagrein. I can't think of better words to express the sensations that this exceptional wine manages to communicate to me. It opens with notes of plum and blackcurrant. Its acidity marries well with the velvety tannins. Great balance and elegance for this purple red wine. Highly recommended.
Sensory Profile
From the shores of Lake Caldaro, a delicious Lagrein that represents everything I would want from a red wine in an informal dinner with friends. Purple red in the glass, bewitching nose of plum, mint and elderberry, the fruit returns in the mouth, delicately integrated tannin, mineral sip with a persistent fine spiciness. Very pleasant and extremely versatile, it lent itself well to the not easy pairing with a Milanese cutlet.
Recommended Pairings and Serving Guidelines
Also suitable for lunch because it is light, perhaps even when drunk cold. An excellent red, taste it with mixed boiled meats and tortellini in broth.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 14 and 16°C in a Tulipano glass.
