Castel Sallegg

Castel Sallegg, in the heart of Caldaro, boasts a history that dates back to the 16th century, shaping the landscape of Mitterdorf, in Alto Adige. Once the residence of the Lords of Sall, the castle has been owned by noble families, including Archduke Rainier of Austria and the Princess of Campofranco, until reaching the current owner, Count von Kuenburg.

With 30 hectares of vineyards, Castel Sallegg is today one of the largest private estates in the region. The cellar, dating back over 1,000 years, maintains a constant temperature ideal for the aging of wines. Among the treasures of the estate stands out the Moscato Rosa, a rare grape introduced by the Prince of Campofranco and grown on the shores of Lake Caldaro, which gives life to a fine wine.

Respect for nature and sustainability guide the production of Castel Sallegg wines, which combine modernity and tradition. The latest innovation includes a lightweight bottle made of 100% recycled glass and an elegant design that celebrates the family's noble history and heritage.

With its Nobilis, Serenis and Imperialis wine lines, Castel Sallegg represents a combination of character, sophistication and centuries-old winemaking tradition.
