Description

Why the winemaker recommends Castel Sallegg Moscato giallo Alto Adige DOC

A real golden boy of this Moscato! If you initially have the impression that there might be water in the glass, at least the outstretched legs after swirling it indicate that it is wine. The nose immediately reveals the family from which it comes, while the lush and fresh bouquet of a Moscato Giallo rises unmistakably in the glass. In terms of taste, it is equally intensely fruity and floral with great minerality and also a slight acidity. SUPERIOR! Seduction and distinction, much appreciated by refined ladies.

Characteristics of Moscato giallo from Castel Sallegg

Muscat giallo (Yellow Muscat), so called because of the golden yellow color of the bunches of grapes. Originally thought to be of Middle Eastern origin, but now evidence suggests that it could originate from Italy, as many suspected. Medium golden yellow in color. Bouquet, a bouquet of cut flowers and yellow fruit on the nose. Dry, medium bodied, medium acid. The palate is dominated by spices, nutmeg, almonds along with citrus, pineapple, yellow plums, minerals and salt in the finish.

Recommended pairings for this white wine from Trentino Alto Adige DOC

Super!!! A wine with this set of aromas should pair with dishes of equal aromaticity. An example? It pairs very well with tagliolini with truffle or a cream of porcini mushrooms...in short, delicate but very fragrant dishes.

Uncork and serve the Moscato giallo at a temperature of 10 and 12°C in a Tulipano glass.

Cellar Castel Sallegg

Each wine from Castel Sallegg tells a story of noble tradition, a bond with the territory and artisanal care. From the historic vineyards on the shores of Lake Caldaro come labels that combine sustainability, elegance and the centuries-old legacy of the Counts von Kuenburg family. A unique experience, rooted in the past and projected into the future.
