Why the winemaker recommends Teruzzi Toscana Rosso IGT Melograni 2017
Blend Petit Verdot - Sangiovese from Tuscany. Aging 12-15 months in French oak barrels, followed by 5 months of aging in vats. Good wine still a little young to drink it and fully enjoy it, certainly interesting and pleasant. Red where Sangiovese predominates and marks the character.
Characteristics of the Melograni di Teruzzi wine
Good quality “Super Tuscany” took a day to air, but it still gets better! The rough edge has been replaced by a combination of mulberry, oak, cherry, ash, plum, balsamic and sage. The tannins certainly leave a compact espresso. The color is medium ruby red. It has a nice licorice in the aftertaste.
Recommended pairings for this Toscana IGT red wine
Excellent with Mediterranean cuisine, from pasta with meat sauce to legume soups; with gravy and grilled meat. Perfect with a compote of vegetables in oil. Ideal for snacks, Apulian taralli, wine and Roman pecorino cheese.
Uncork a Toscana Rosso IGT Melograni 2017 and serve at a temperature of 16° - 18°C in a Tulipano glass.
