Why I suggest Nero Mascalese Mofete Etna Rosso DOC
Always nice to discover wines of this importance. Definitely a captivating red Etna. Excellent result of a great winning grape variety on a large territory. The cellar was born on a former palm grove, so the soil is loaded with minerals. Very fruity with a medium persistence on the palate.
The Sommelier: Nerello mascalese 80% and nerello hood 20%, intense red color and clear edges of light garnets Nose does not hide its volcanic origin. It also offers depth and freshness with a decisive minerality, spices such as black pepper and cocoa wrapped by a penetrating floral profile (especially pink) and a little ripe red fruit. Taste good, warm and dry full body, good finesse with vigorous tannins, fruits of ripe woods and spices as on the nose. Quite long finish, rather spicy
Suggested pairings: Wine for a meal with red meats and first courses: lentils with bacon and croutons; pork marinated with garlic, pepper and Brussels sprouts.
Uncork and decant before serving at 16 - 18 ° C in a Ballon glass.
Wine cellar: ... Extreme and unique wines, recognizable thousands of km from the origin, represented as the Cru Contrada Santo Spirito, Di Sei and Mofete. ...
