Why the winemaker recommends Nicosia Monte San Nicolò Etna Bianco
A didactic white Etna made of Carricante grapes is a small percentage of minnella. Good persistence and soft on the palate. It is recommended to drink it a little colder than I drank it and I would accompany it with a nice delicate fish, perhaps grilled.
Characteristics of Monte San Nicolò di Nicosia white wine
The San Nicolò di Nicosia white wine is juicy and fresh, with beautiful minerality and salinity, a complex and pleasantly creamy structure. The nose contrasts slightly: overripe stone fruit, pear, quince, raisins, candied fruit, light medicinal note. It smells heavier and more mature than it tastes.
Recommended pairings for this Etna white wine
Excellent pairing with Etna Bianco San Nicolò for grilled fish and shellfish.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 10°-12°C in a Tulipano glass.
Nicosia winery
Sicily in five generations, 1898 Francesco Nicosia, the great-grandfather of Etna wine, already known and appreciated in Europe for its "volcanic" and mineral strength. In the 20th century, Carmelo Nicosia expanded and renovated the vineyards and created a modern winery, at the foot of one of the extinct craters that dot Etna. The Monte Gorna estate with its typical lava terraces where the native vines of the volcano grow. He therefore leads the family company to be the protagonist of the rebirth of Sicilian wine
Cantine Nicosia promotes the territory, starting from the prized native vines and the international varieties that are best suited to Sicily. A path of excellence in the Sicilian wine tradition.
