Why the winemaker recommends Cantine Nicosia Vulkà Etna Rosso
Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccino wine from vineyards on the slopes of Etna with strong minerality. Simple, easy to drink, but also complete and satisfying. It fills the mouth with the Sicilian sun, without being too strong and important.
Characteristics of Vulkà red wine from Nicosia
Vulkà Sicilian blend of good assembly. Fresh red wine from Etna with a good alcohol content which also lends itself well to summer tastings. Medium-bodied, undemanding structure, dark ruby in color with light veins. From an olfactory point of view, the Etna Vulkà red wine is slightly light, characterized by the essences of minerals and medicinal herbs. On the palate there are notes of bay leaves, cloves and candied fruit, with accents of spices and lava stone. Poor tannins and acceptable persistence. Minimal acidity.
Recommended pairings for this Etna Rosso DOC wine
Vulkà Etna Rosso is perfect for any meal, both with first courses and with white and red meats. Also excellent with medium-aged cheeses, it is worth trying with porceddu.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 16°-18°C in a large glass.

The Monte Gorna estate with its typical lava terraces where the native vines of the volcano grow. He therefore leads the family company to be the protagonist of the rebirth of Sicilian wine
Cantine Nicosia promotes the territory, starting from the prized native vines and the international varieties that are best suited to Sicily. A path of excellence in the Sicilian wine tradi
