Why the winemaker recommends Ciavolich Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2022
Excellent value for money. Fragrant, soft, dark red colour. You risk opening a second bottle!!
Characteristics of Ciavolich Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine
We are in c/da Pianella in the Pescarese area, on clayey/limestone soil, from five-year-old vines and a wine aging in steel for a year and a half.
Bright ruby red colour, the nose is discreetly intense with floral aromas of red roses and irises, ripe fruits of sour cherries and plums, liquorice stick and a ferrous mineral note; close up some juniper berries and thyme. On the nose the quality is fine and of excellent complexity. In the mouth stands out an exuberant freshness and a tasty shoulder.
Recommended pairings for this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC red wine
Very versatile Montepulciano red wine, perfectly accompanies meat or cured meat dishes; black olives and pecorino cheese; eggplant caponata.
Uncork the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC wine, I recommend serving at a temperature of 16 - 17 degrees in a large Tulipano glass.
Ciavolich winery
Among the rows of vineyards we come across succulent and golden bunches of Trebbiano, Cococciola, Pecorino, Chardonnay, Moscato, Passerina, and red grapes that have great resonance in the international wine world, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. They accompany the wines and bottles with labels that well represent the territory such as: Fosso Cancelli, Antrum, Divus Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Doc, Aries Pecorino, Donna Ernestina Passerina Spumante Brut.
