Why the winemaker recommends Malvirà Trinità Roero Arneis DOCG 2022
The Malvirà company undoubtedly represents a point of reference in the Roero, but the impression is that many producers have struggled to come up with a high-quality raw material. Freshness is the greatest advantage of the sip. Imperceptible 10% passage in wood.
Characteristics of the Roero Arneis wine from Malvirà
Arneis Roero Docg is elegant and of absolute depth. It is vinified in steel and left to mature for a very small part in wood. Excellent Arneis, yellow fruit and almost honey-like notes on the nose which are clear and decisive on the sip, also pineapple and a certain fatness but not heavy. Aromas of honey and vanilla (there is some wood). Also savory hints. The finish turns into notes that are a little harder and typical of alcohol and slightly bitter with the acidity that emerges.
Recommended pairings for this del Roero DOCG Piemonte white wine
For this Arneis I recommend pairing it with really excellent and very drinkable appetizers and fish; tongue with Barolo Chinato and counteracts fatness with good acidity.
Uncork and serve the Trinità arneis at a temperature of 12 - 14°C in a Tulipano glass.
