Why the winemaker recommends Malvirà Treuve Langhe DOC 2018
Treuve Langhe spectacular blend, each grape variety supports the other to create a goosebump-inducing, spicy and acidic wine in an enveloping embrace. Very particular wine, it is not the classic Piedmontese white.
Characteristics of Treuve di Malvirà white wine
For a white person, 5 years is no walk in the park. Treuve blend Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Arneis are a winning combination especially at the home of Arneis. The buttery freshness of Chardonnay acts as a scale for the dance of vegetal notes of the other two, which underline each other without forcing themselves, in a competition of courtesies that results in an elegant and engaging vortex. The minerality, the evolution in wood and the alcohol do the rest, and the malolactic closes the procession. Very pleasant to drink, with ten-year aging potential.
Recommended pairings for this Treuve wine white Piemonte Langhe DOC
Accompany beef carpaccio and truffle; crudités; passatelli with Sicilian red prawns; green tagliolini with cod and almonds; tortelloni filled with pumpkin, aromatic herbs and Moncenisio cheese.
Uncork and serve the Arneis at a temperature of 12 - 14°C in a Tulipano glass.
