Why the winemaker recommends Cà La Bionda Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018
Unique and recognizable style of the cellar, lucky to have compared the 3 Amarones of the cellar (classico - ravazzol - ravazzol reserve) one after the other. Nice to see how, despite the same refinements and management of the grapes, the origin of the grapes influences the wine. Vineyards that are a few meters away from each other but with different characteristics. The Ca' La Bionda farm is located in Marano di Valpolicella and has 29 hectares of vineyards. This excellent Amarone, a blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, with the balance of Rondinella and Molinara, aged 36 months in oak barrels. Good.
Characteristics of the Amaroni Ravazzol wine from Cà La Bionda
Classic Amarone ages for 36 months in large barrels. Very rich aroma, full of black cherry and candied fruit, keeps the nose glued to the glass, lost in its depth. The fruit almost in spirit combines with balsamic notes that balance well with toasted and coffee notes. On the palate it manages to pleasantly combine the sweetness of the fruit with a long, almondy aftertaste.
