Why the winemaker recommends Cà La Bionda Corvina Veronese IGT
Corvina in all her splendor. Corvina is the main grape used in the production of Amarone.
Grapes from older, partially dried vineyards from organic farming. Very simple Valpolicella - nothing more, no less.
Characteristics of the Corvina Veronese IGT wine from Cà La Bionda
Pure red wine from Corvina grapes tends towards medium garnet and shows signs of maturity. Aromas of plums and red fruits together with woody touches. Dry with medium acidity; high alcohol content (14.5%). Medium intensity tannins, in a medium-bodied wine. Blackberry flavors along with touches of wood. Good structure with intermediate finishing.
Recommended pairings for this Veneto red wine from Valpolicella
Paired with tagliatelle with pork ragout; Grilled Treviso red radicchio with roasted polenta and salamella.
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 16 - 18°C in a large Ballon glass.
