Cà La Bionda

Cellar Ca La Bionda

The Cà La Bionda farm, founded in 1902, is located in Marano di Valpolicella, in the heart of the historic Valpolicella classico area. Today, the fourth generation of the Castellani family, with brothers Alessandro and Nicola, leads the company with passion and expertise, respectively as oenologist and agronomist.

With 29 hectares of vineyards located between 150 and 300 meters above sea level, Cà La Bionda grows exclusively native grapes (Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara) and produces wines that faithfully represent the territory. The company has adopted a certified organic approach since 2016, renouncing herbicides and pesticides to preserve the environment and biodiversity. Among the techniques used, "sexual confusion" stands out for parasite control and green manure to enrich the soil.

The philosophy of Cà La Bionda is also reflected in the cellar, where indigenous yeasts are used and the use of sulphites is limited, favoring natural vinification. Dedication to quality and respect for the environment translate into authentic wines that tell the story and beauty of Valpolicella.

Since 2008, the company has been part of FIVI (Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers), supporting an artisanal production model that protects the link between winemaker, territory and consumer.
