Why the winemaker recommends Cà La Bionda Ravazzol Riserva Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2013
Excellent Amarone Ravazzol which comes from what can easily be defined as a Valpolicella cru (awaiting official zoning). Certainly the most suitable vineyard among those of Ca' La Bionda which gives a more tannic and complex wine than the basic Amarone, but it needs more time to express itself at its best, compared to other producers, it is liked for its greater balance in the mouth compared to the search for power and opulence. I don't consider it surprising but convincing.
Characteristics of the Riserva Ravazzol wine from Cà La Bionda
Monumental Amarone perfect balance between freshness and complexity. The Ravazzol Riserva wine opens with bitter cocoa, then ethereal notes, morello cherry in alcohol and recalls the Boers. Increasingly finer with oxygenation. Resinous balsamicity, anise and mentholated notes. On the palate it is muscular and elegant, intense and energetic, but at the same time very easy to drink. Probably thanks to his balance at high levels. Very long.
