Why the winemaker recommends Barbaresco DOCG
Nebbiolo Barbaresco DOCG Asili 2014 by Michele Chiarlo. For those unfamiliar, Asili is a special Barbaresco DOCG designation. This denomination can only be used in the four municipalities of Barbaresco, Neive, Alba, and Treiso. This Asili is produced in a single hectare area. The wine produced may be young, but it already manages to be deeply enjoyable. It's one of those Piedmontese reds that you sip, put down the glass, and after a few seconds, pick it up again. Who knows in a few years? Decidedly balanced.
Characteristics of Nebbiolo Wine
Barbaresco DOCG Asili is a renowned Cru by Michele Chiarlo, the highest expression of his wines in this appellation. This bottle represents an almost perfect evolution: it stands out for its clean aroma, perfect harmony between flavor and aroma, balance, persistence, and harmony. Exceptionally stored, it fully deserves the maximum score.
