Why the winemaker recommends Gavi DOCG
An aristocratic wine, an expression of the terroir in which it was produced.
Characteristics of the Gavi white wine
Made from 100% Cortese grapes, this clear wine has a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights and an alcohol content of 12%. Herbaceous aromas (fresh hay) with hints of anise. Fresh palate, ripe fruit flavors, and a pleasant acidity.
Recommended pairings for this Gavi di Vite Colte
The Gavi Aureliana Vite Colte white wine is particularly suited to accompany "Italian-style" appetizers of cured meats, snails à la bourguignonne, trout mousse with caviar, seafood, molluscs, crustaceans, game terrines, seafood risotto, smoked provola and other smoked cheeses, robiola, crescenza, stracchino, and fresh cheeses with a slightly acidic flavor.
We recommend uncorking the wine and serving it at a temperature of 10-12°C in a Renano glass.
Vite Colte Winery
A large, well-organized family produces unique and interesting products. This is what happens at Vite Colte, the art of growing grapes. Knowledge and dialogue between different generations of farmers are combined with the experience, tradition, and passion typical of Piedmont.
