Why I suggest Barbera d'Alba DOC Vigneti Cerreto
The wine making tradition of the wines of Roberto Voerzio takes us back to highlight the classic and aristocratic Piedmontese Barbera, and present itself at the height of its shape. For this reason the Barbera d'Alba DOC Vigneti Cerreto wants to be among those to whom time has given expression to be able to express itself with a high quality level. Wine of great complexity and intensity that immediately conquers the palate of the fans to which they share at least one box in their cellar.
The Sommelier: In the glass appears a ruby red and marked purple reflections in the nail. The consistency is very evident with small arches that descend slowly in the alcoholic fluid rich in alcohol perceived at levels of 13.50% vol. Enveloping aromas of fruit, mixed with nuances and hints of spice. Fullness and body of impact, a perfectly balanced silky sip. Closes in the finish with considerable persistence.
Suggested pairings: Enchanting wine with polenta lamb chops and red radicchio from Treviso scalded on a plate, strascinati handmade with turnip tops, cabbage soup and pork knuckle; excellent with dried fruit.
Uncork and allow to air before serving at 16 - 18°C. in medium Ballon chalice.
