Truly a great Barbera. An excellent balance of tannins. A structured and full-bodied wine. Fifteen degrees that don't disturb. The barrique has clearly added value here.
Characteristics of La Martina di Broccardo wine
A solid Barbera d'Alba, with beautiful notes of development. Still fruit forward, ripe cherry prominent. Oak tones led by sweet tobacco, licorice. Medium acidity and soft tannins make it an ideal food companion.
Recommended pairings for this Barbera d'Alba red wine
Full-bodied first courses; Florentine cut; good with calf culottes; also good with a focaccia.
Uncork and serve at a temperature of 18°C in a large Ballon glass.
