Why the winemaker recommends Broccardo Barolo DOCG I Tre Pais
The Broccardo brothers are a small winery in Monforte d'Alba, a production started by their grandparents and which continues in the name of quality. Despite its young age it appears soft and balanced. The tannins emerge but if it rests for a few years it is truly a great wine.
Characteristics of the I Tre Pais wine by Broccardo
Barolo I Tre Pais is a Nebbiolo wine of great extractive concentration, with a compact, dark fruit, animated by clear mineral hints. On the palate it is full-bodied and broad, woven with a properly dense and tapered tannic texture. The sip lights up with a rich and extremely persistent fruitiness, punctuated by significant flavor.
Recommended pairings for this Nebbiolo di Barolo DOCG red wine Piemonte
Barolo I Tre Pais excellently accompanies red meat dishes; Madeira mushroom sauce, broccoli stew; potatoes au gratin and baked cardoncelli mushrooms.
Uncork and decant before serving at a temperature of 18 - 20°C in a large Ballon glass.
Broccardo winery
The success of the Broccardo agricultural company, led by Filippo, Laura and Federica, comes from their talent, from the strong belief that ''a great wine is born in the vineyard'', vinifying the grapes into some of the best Barolos ever produced.
