Characteristics of the Sagrantino Carlo Re Wine by Le Thadee
Obtained from 100% Sagrantino with an intense and deep ruby red color, with garnet reflections. An intense and spicy bouquet with notes of undergrowth, ripe red fruits (blackberry and blueberry) and accents of black pepper and incense. Structured and complex taste, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a full-bodied persistence. Hints of cherry, plum, currant and spices, enriched with nuances of tobacco, chocolate and vanilla. Aged for 18 months in French oak tonneaux with monthly bâtonnage, followed by 4 months in the bottle. Cultivation Technique: Spurred cordon, yield of 60-70 quintals per hectare.
