Why I suggest Barbaresco D. O. C. G. Asili, 2014
The Wine produced belongs to a vine planted in the municipality of Barbaresco, the most representative in the names of the wines of piedmont for excellence and historicity. Located at an altitude of 200 to 300 metres above sea level, the vineyard pedo climatically adapted, serves as the emblem for the Company Ceretto.
The Sommelier: produced Exclusively from the Nebbiolo grapes in purity, high sugar content and alcohol, then with 14.0% Vol. The color is intense ruby red, complex wine with a scent of ripe fruit and undergrowth with a floral hint of dried rose. In the mouth expresses the maximum of the power wine, hot wine, robust, soft tannins and well-balanced, great structure with a long and persistent finish.
Recommended accompaniments: Polenta Crostini with truffle, Stewed vegetables, braised meats, Roasts, Fondue, Risotto with truffle, Parmesan, goat cheeses and blue-veined cheeses.
Uncork and decant, serve at a temperature of 16-18°C in the chalice Ballon great.
Cellar: Bruno and Marcello Ceretto, two brothers united by a single common denominator “of the Earth first of all.” During the years ’60, for the sons of Riccardo Ceretto there was a goal to create a winery in areas geographically and geologically valid to be able to produce the grapes and the purpose of winemaking, individually.A true stroke of genius...
